West Somerset DFAS Young Arts
In 2009 we joined with four second year FDSC Computing students from the Somerset College to design and produce a brand new website for the society.
The students were responsible for the research, design and creation of the WSDFAS website. The students Scott Markham , Chris Ryan, Haddie Turner and Saiwah Man worked on this project all year with Young Arts Representative Anita St John Gray, Chairman Susan Day and Technical Operator David Janes and presented it as part of their course work.
The Somerset Young Artists Competition is in its third year. This is a joint project with the Brewhouse Theatre and young artists of all ages are invited to submit their work by the end of November . Details can be found on the website at http://www.thebrewhouse.net/exhibitions/Showcase/

Stewards will receive a pair of complimentary tickets to an evening with Anne Widdecombe on Monday October 11th. There will also be a Nadfas reception on that evening which the chief executive of Nadfas David Bell will attend.
This year the coffee shop will be in the room adjacent to the Performing Arts Centre where the exhibition is hung, and there will be selection of prints on sale in that room.
As usual there will be eight primary schools who have been invited to bring along a class. There will also be voting slips to hand out to select the most popular painting for both adults and children. Always very popular and produces some interesting results.
Please sign up and return the chart either by email or post by the 10th September.
